HE DID IT!!!!!!!!! David graduated Dental School!
For those who have heard our story over the last year, you know that the possibility of David not graduating on time, and being a super senior, was a big concern. But, by the grace of God and miracles and blessings and a lot of work by David, he was able to graduate on time. He finished all of his requirements the day before graduation, and could walk across that stage truly earning the title Dr. Bass. I could not be more proud of him, or more grateful to our Father in Heaven (in truth, I am emotional now just thinking about it again).
June 13 was a day that at times I never thought would come. I was a wound up bundle of emotion all morning. I cried during the processional. I cried when he was hooded. I cried when I held him (and wouldn't let go) after the ceremony. And I still cry when I remember how blessed we are that he did finish on time.
It was so wonderful to see him be hooded and take on the responsibility of a dentist and doctor. We had also found out earlier in the week that he had passed boards, so everything was legit. :) Here are a few pictures for the ceremony and day.
It was also emotional because of this:
This photo is our "Dental Wives Club". This is the last time we were altogether, and the only time we have ever taken a picture like this. These women are amazing and I am so blessed that I was able to spend time with them during the 4 years of Dental School. Never again will I have such a connection with so many incredible women. I am blessed to call them my friends and I miss them like crazy!
That night, we took the whole family out to dinner to celebrate. :)
Dental School was an amazing time. Hard, stressful, emotional, trying, but amazing. So many memories and so many wonderful people helped us through. We are so grateful for all of that, but also to be done!
