Couches!!!

So this post is a little late, but oh well!

Most have seen pictures (or the real thing) of our Big Blue couch:

We have been so grateful to have it. Before we got married, and David was living alone in our married housing, my cousin gave us this couch. We have had is ever since, and are forever grateful to Cassie for her generosity. This couch survived 4 moves (5 if you count moving it into our first married house), and 3 1/2 years-ish of marriage.

But the time came to say goodbye to Big Blue and Hello to these beauties!

Oh Yeah! Red Microfiber couches! There is kinda a lengthy story as to how we got these. The short version is that David's parents found they did not need them anymore, so they offered them to us! SOLD! We were so excited! We love them, and love the color that they add to our home.

We did have a short time between getting rid of Big Blue and getting the red beauties, where we had no couch (like a week and a half). We survived, but it was interesting. No couch snuggling for me and David. :) But, this is no longer a problem! We love our red couches! Thanks Mom and Dad Bass!

A Day at the Coast

On Friday, we decided to enjoy the last official day of Spring Break for David and head out to the beach. We had a wonderful day!

We got there in time for an early lunch at this best Fish and Chips place I've eaten in a long time! Then we headed to the water in play in the sand for awhile.

I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera in the car for this part. Eli was so cute in the sand, playing with the toys, wanting to explore. He would see someone's ball and want to go play with it (this little man is big into playing will all kinds of balls--soccer, baseball, basketball). David followed Eli around, making sure he didn't get too close to the ocean. And I got to relax on our blanket and enjoy a little sun.

After some time on the sand, we decided to head to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. We are so glad that we did this. Eli LOVED looking at all the "fisheys", and had so much fun with all there was to see and do at the Aquarium.
