To add to the excitement, David and I found our apartment for when we are married! We had spent the better part of a week and a half, every afternoon, looking at apartments and calling the numbers on "For Rent" signs. Finally, Rosie told us about her friend Kristi and Andrew who are moving out of their house at the end of September. We went and looked at the house and decided to rent it!
It is a one story, one bedroom house. No Apartment, duplex, basement or otherwise. It will be our own little house with a decent sized living room, large kitchen and bedroom. We are so excited! David is going to live in the house starting this fall and then I will move in once we get married! My own little home, complete with husband (eventually :) ) I can't imagine anything better!

The Story. :)
David and I have known for almost 3 weeks now that it is right for us to get married. We have been talking to family and making plans since then, but doing our best to keep it quiet from the rest of the world until it was official. We didn't always succeed with that goal, but it mostly worked. We had gone ring shopping and picked out the ring and the diamond (I highly recommend Wilsons Diamonds to anyone looking). However, he still had not talked to me dad. He kept telling me that he and my dad preferred to talk in person and that couldn't happen until the end of august. So naturally I do not expect a proposal until then. Nevertheless, I still bugged him because I wanted my ring and I wanted to be able to tell people.
Last Wednesday night we had planned to go to Thanksgiving Point Gardens, but by the time we were ready to leave, they were going to be closing. So we decided to just do some homework and research for a little while. Later on he invited me to his apartment to have some cake that he picked up from the French Bakery in Orem. It was yummy, but I realized the Black Forest cake is not my favorite. At that point we both seemed to be kind of grouchy with the stress of wedding things so he suggested we go on a walk--to the Duck Pond. Just above the duck pond, on the path around south campus hill there are some picnic tables and benches. That was the place where I first told him that I loved him.
We ended up walking towards the tables and there was another couple there. He was annoyed because he wanted them to leave. But we walked past just a little ways to the stairs close by and sat down to talk. We starting talking about where and when he might propose and I said "I just have one request, don't do it on campus". I could tell that that didn't sit well with him. He pointed out that this is the most sentimental place for us. Then I started apologizing for trying to dictate where I get proposed to. The girl can't dictate that. I felt so bad!
A few minutes later we got up to leave and stopped by the benches again to hug. He said "I love you Emily." I answered "I love you too honey." "Enough to marry me?" he asked. "Yes, 10 times over". "Okay that is all I need" and then he got down on one knee. At first I thought he was playing a joke on me, faking me out, so I started saying "you are not!" and then he pulled out the ring box. By jaw dropped, my eyes widened and I started crying. "Emily, will you marry me?" I couldn't answer. He stood up and put the ring on my hand. After about a minute I finally managed to say "yes!" I was so excited and happy and bawling! Hahaha
We called my parents right away to let them know it was official!!!
Apparently, David had called and talked to my Dad on the phone the week before. Yes they preferred to talk in person, but the reality was over the phone. He told me that he had had my ring put on reserve because I was worried it had been sold. No, he picked it up the day before he proposed. It was in his pocket all that afternoon. To be sneaky he put golf balls in his pockets to "remind him to go golfing" but really it was to prevent me from suspecting the ring box in his pocket. What a sneak, and I love him! He totally surprised me. He got the shocked look he was hoping to get when he proposed and I finally got my ring and story to tell! We are getting married on November 21 in the Seattle temple! I couldn't be more excited, or feel like time was going more slowly. :)

Summer Adventures
So... I'm bad and have no kept up on this blog as I should have. Lots has happened since I last wrote and so it is time for a quick update.
In June, David's mom came to visit. It was so much fun to meet her. She is wonderful! While she was here we went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. Oh my goodness! The temple was absolutely gorgeous! The chandelier in the Celestial room was amazing. I did not want to leave. The peace and the beauty of the temple is just so wonderful and overwhelming. I am excited for when it will be my turn to enter the temple.
Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures of the temple outside, they got lost. But they were cute! :)
Next up, the Air Force Air Show. This was so much fun! David and I went up to Hill Air Force Base and joined the 1000's of other civilians exploring the static displays and watching the show of the planes. It was packed, but so much fun to see and touch the planes up close. Plus, the live show with the planes actually flying was amazing! We were there for like 7 hours, and as the pictures show, it was a gorgeous day. What does that mean for my fair skin? Death by sun, of course. I was fried! When we got home we made sure to pick up a bottle of Vitamin E cream to ease the pain. It still hurt though.
Here is a picture of the show.

This is me scorched :)
And this is me and David. So cute!
