In case you didn't read my previous post, or you missed it with everything else that post was about, here is a quick fact: We bought a van!
I am so excited to finally have found one. Car shopping in a rural area is a bit tedious and frustrating. Thankfully, we have family all over the country who were willing to help. I knew I wanted either a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. We wanted a model a few years old and no more than 75,000 miles on it.
We had my in-laws look at a van for us in Portland. And my parents looked at 2 for us in the Seattle area. My sister also did some online research to help us out. After a few weeks of looking, we finally settled on this beauty:
It is a 2008 Honda Odyssey EX with 75,000 miles on it!
My parents looked at it in Bellevue for us. We weren't sure it was going to be the one. But then, in negotiations, the salesman came back and lowered the price a little more for the 4th of July sale. So we jumped on it! On July 3rd we loaded up the kids and drove to Bellevue to look at it and buy it.
Oh my goodness, driving the van was a little scary at first. It felt so HUGE! I am getting used to it now, and loving the features, including automatic sliding doors. Ah, heaven!
We also took a few minutes to walk around the Seattle Temple, since the dealership was right there. We loved reminiscing about our wedding day and telling/showing the boys where Mommy and Daddy got married.
We are so thrilled to have a car to fit our growing family, which will be one (little) person larger in about 7 weeks! Eek!!!
