Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

Just a few blurbs about the holidays...

This year for Thanksgiving we spent it with David's family. It was wonderful, relaxing, full of good food and good company. I really am so lucky to have such wonderful in-laws. We had what I consider to be a "normal" thanksgiving: chat, eat the fabulous meal, chat some more/maybe watch a movie, dessert, chat some more. It  has been years since I have had a Thanksgiving like that, and it was so nice. Thanks to my wonderful in-laws for the day.

Christmas we spent at my parents' house. It was a quiet Christmas--just us and my parents. But it was a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The only few days of vacation David got really. We went to see a Broadway production of Cinderella, which was a blast! Christmas morning was so fun with Eli, though he had more fun touching our faces, than his actual gifts. Oh well! :) It was nice to spend some time at home with my parents and with my own little family.

We also had a fondue night with our friends the Hornibrooks. We got this fondue pot for our wedding, and didn't realize how awesome it is! It is an electric pot, which means you can actually make the fondue in the pot, not just use the pot to "keep it warm". Oh I was so excited when we realized this. We love it! Here are some pictures:

There was soo much chocolate left over. Note to self: When following that chocolate fondue recipe, make it for a BIG party.

Last big piece of the holidays: We moved! Pictures to come soon.

Sounds like you had some nice holiday breaks. Maybe it was hard trying to get Eli and Paul to get excited about the gifts this year, but I have a feeling it will be a bit of a challenge to keep the gifts wrapped until Christmas next year! These little boys will be toddling and mischiefing before we know it!

We miss you and your cute family bunches already! We're looking forward to our next FHE with you guys!
