At the end of August, David and I made the journey home to Seattle/Portland. We visited our families (yes, I met the entirety of my new family) and had some time to play and be together. We went on the Bass Family Annual Beach Trip and had a blast! Perfect weather on the Oregon coast for 3 days, what more could you ask for? While there, Shonda (David's sister) took some engagement photos of us. They are beautiful. I have some below. Unfortunately, when we went up to Seattle, I got sick and so we didn't get to play in Seattle like we had hoped. But, we still had some fun. Then, to finish off the trip, parents met parents. I was nervous about that, but it turned out just fine. David and I are both very fortunate to have come from such amazing families. I feel very blessed to be marrying David. He is all I ever wanted and more.

School has started. We are both now in our Senior years (for me this is my second and last Senior year), and school is taken off with gusto. It is going to be a hard and busy semester, but it should be fine. I am finally taking my last Econ class, which is a good thing because I do not like Econ, not one bit. I am also taking Business Strategy, Market Research and Entrepreneurial Marketing, as well as dance class (surprised?? I think not). A big plus is that I only have a total of 3 tests this entire semester--all in Econ. But, that means I have a whole lot of projects. Well, at least finals week will be relaxing. David, however, is never going to get a break until next summer. His schedule is jam packed.
I am done being engaged. Well, that is I wish I was done being engaged. Last week was hard for us because we can't be alone, we barely ever see each other, and saying goodnight at 8:30 sucks! We are so excited to be married and be able to start our lives togethers. No more saying goodnight, no more chaperones (Rosie and Brian kindly allow us to come over almost every night so that we have somewhere besides campus to be together, I promise, I am not ungrateful), no more not being able to step more than 2 feet into my house where David is living. We joke about eloping almost daily, but we know that more than a few people would have our heads for that. Just two more months!!!!
In terms of happy family news, JR and Heather are going to be sealed on October 1st!!! Their approval came through and they will get to go through the temple together in a week and a half. I am so excited and happy for them!! I am also trying to see if I can go through the temple at that time as well, but that is uncertain. I should know in the next day or 2, maybe even in a few hours.

oh my gosh em those pics are BEAUTIFUL! does David's sister do photography professionally? if no she should! I love them! and i'm so excited for you! I know 2 months seems like to far away, but the wait will be well worth it :)
ahhh, I just love your engagement pictures! I don't remember the engagement being *that* bad, but then again, we were also apart almost the entire time.
Okay, so sad news, I don't think we're going to make it home for thanksgiving--too expensive. I know, there great things you have to look forward to when you are married...like finances :)
